Ventless Combustion & Energy (VC&E) has evolved through development of the CATCHER process technology into a company focused on converting organic waste and biomass into sustainable, carbon-neutral electricity and transportation fuels. We created the Ventless Gasification Combustion System (VGCS) to produce clean carbon-neutral energy products and industrial commodities from organic feedstocks, including municipal solid waste (MSW), sewage sludge (biosolids), and biomass (vegetative matter).
The VGCS also transforms rural waste such as dairy or feedlot manure, crop wastes and forestry waste and almost all organic waste produced by humans or animals you can name into carbon-neutral transportation fuels.
The VGCS is a "mechanical train" linking together four extensively tested and demonstrated processors each designed to carry out a separate process function (See Technology).
VC&E's value proposition is to provide both urban and rural communities with an economically feasible solution for eliminating the need for landfill disposal of methane-producing organic waste, meeting mandated reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) footprints and providing the basis for sustainable energy security.
Our vision is to begin building Green Energy Parks or "GenParks" at or near wastewater
treatment plants (WTPs) where they are located in the vicinity of MSW transfer stations. Typically MSW transfer stations are located a relatively short distance from WTPs.
We are ready to provide the technology and the team to construct GenParks for initially removing methane-producing green waste and biosolids from landfills. Methane is a powerful greenhouse gas. Releasing methane into the atmosphere from landfills, the second major source of man-made GHG in the US, produces 22 times more global warming than carbon dioxide (CO2).
Our solution brings additional value to communities by allowing them to initially participate in ways that don't negatively affect their budget. We are willing to first demonstrate we can provide a major solution for increasing community sustainability and energy security leaving the door open for the community to choose when they are ready to participate in the initial GenPark capital investment and its ownership.
